"Be still, and know that I am God" -
In the past several months, hardships seem to be a mass with no end in sight. The phrase “When it rains, it pours” certainly rings true to an extent and there is nothing that we can do about it but put our face between
our hands and cry. On the other hand, we can put our hands together pray and trust that God will see us through these difficult times.
The burden of pain can be heavy and crushing but know that God is in control of everything in our lives. Psalm 46 reveals God as our refuge and strength, the only One who is with us at all times and defends us at all times.
The most famous phrase of all v.10 “Be still and know that I am God” alludes to His greatness and authority overall all creation. God is the only One who controls all things and brings all things to a standstill. He
is the only One that all peoples of the earth and the earth itself will exalt.
If you are in need today, remember that God is always with you and that He is your fortress. Therefore, know for certain that God is in control and everything will turn out right.
