"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 6:23
People see death today as a reality of life or as a phase of life, but is it? Does it have to be? Think about this: the more we believe that death is natural and normative in our lives, the more we become desensitized to what death truly entails. Death is the enemy of God as it separates God’s creation from Him eternally. This is why God says that “death will be thrown into the lake of fire.” (Rev. 20:14)
Let us look at death with distain so that we can truly look to life in Christ Jesus. Unless we see death as an unnatural event in life, we will not see God’s free gift of life in Christ to us. Physical death is the
bridge to eternal life and eternal separation from God. If we are to receive eternal life, it must be in and through our Lord Jesus Christ.
If we are to receive eternal life, it must be in and through our Lord Jesus Christ.
