Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint;
but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom's instruction. - Proverbs 29:18 -
I’m reminded of Robert Frost poem, “The Road Not Taken” as the reader ponders which road the person will take. Maybe some of you are there at a crossroads in your life and looking and waiting to see which path is the best path. Often times we’d like to travel the board and comfortable road with many footprints, yet Jesus says that is the one that will lead to destruction. Yet, the road with little to no footprints holds so much uncertainty, but is the one that Jesus says will lead to paradise.
Many of us will seek direction and advice from friends and family which is advisable and well intentioned, yet the best advice comes from God’s word itself. Solomon reminds its readers that decisions often fail because there is no direction and discussions. The ones that succeed are the one’s who heed God’s word in their decision making.
As you make life choices, do not cast off God’s word but dive into it and see what Wisdom has to teach you about the choices you have made.
