The Source of Peace and Warmth

While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger because there was no guest room available for them. – Luke 2:-6-7 –

Can you sense the warmth and love from Mary as she lays baby Jesus, waddled up in the manger? In the midst of a cold night and laying bare outside, the only thing she can feel is warmth and peace laying her baby in the manger. Christians, this is what Christ does when we place our faith in him and see only him. He brings and gives us peace and warmth, knowing that God is with us no matter how cold the season may be or how busy.

Look to Jesus this week, no matter how busy or how cold it is, Jesus is the source of peace and warmth because he is with us. Though we could say that the “cold night” and having “no room” is outcasting Jesus, Mary, and Joseph; remember that we are never outcasts in God’s eyes as Jesus is his proof that He is always with us.
